Hernon Manufacturing has introduced
        an innovative and economical solution to rotational production
        adhesive applications. The revolutionary Autobonder™ 2511
        Dual Turntable Adhesive Dispensing System is the next generation
        of rotational application systems.


        
The Autobonder™ 2511 utilizes
        twin electro-pneumatic dispensing heads featuring Teflon valve
        assemblies to provide high reliability of operation, and interchangeable
        needle tips for variation of bead diameter. There are independent
        adhesive reservoirs for each dispensing head. The dispensing
        heads lower to dispense adhesive onto the part and then automatically
        lift up to allow for easy placement and removal of parts onto
        its twin turntables. The Autobonder™ 2511 can also be configured
        to accommodate two additional valve assemblies, facilitating
        two additional operations. This means the Autobonder™ 2511
        can complete four simultaneous operations in a single cycle!

        
The most innovative feature of
        the Autobonder™ 2511 is the integrated design, which includes
        the use of a PLC controller that allows the unit to be easily
        reconfigured for different operations. All of the various control
        components are located in a single unit, including pressure controls
        for the dispensing valves and reservoirs, speed controls for
        the twin turntables, as well as the twin turntables themselves.
        The dispensing and dwell timing is entirely programmable through
        the use of a digital timer also built right into the unit. The
        innovative Manual/Set Up controls allow the operator to manually
        configure the unit for a specific operation, and then lock in
        the set up program for the production run. The dispensing of
        adhesive from the valve heads is interfaced with the motion of
        the turntables so that complete coverage is achieved without
        any wasting of material. The turntables can be fitted with work
        holding fixtures to assure accurate part placement and adhesive
        dispensing.
