        The Hernon UV Wand Curing System is the solution for spot curing
        adhesives and coatings such as Hernon Ultrabond™, Poly-Cure™,
        and Ultraviolet Curable Coating™ (UCC™).


        
The Hernon UV Wand Curing System is manufactured
        with a high-grade aluminum cabinet and a durable 1000mm liquid-filled
        light guide. The dual fan cooling system and vertically orientated
        bulb result in a longer bulb life in the most demanding environments.
        The solid-state, high-performance power supply consistently provides 100 watts of continuous power meaning more consistent curing of UV cure adhesive or
        coating. The  power board is cooled by a fan that provides a consistent operating environment.  The power supply is auto-sensing between 90 to 260 VAC, 50-60 Hz, to allow for both domestic and overseas use.  The digital bulb-life hour-meter provides accurate schedule
        information to the maintenance person.

        
The digital shutter timer provides an interface
        for manually triggering the shutter or a robotic interface for
        automated operation.  The Hernon UV Wand Curing System features a gravity close shutter for the safety of the operator and reducing the risk of the shutter being stuck in the open position. The electric solenoid can be opened for up to 45 seconds, and has been tested in excess of 10,000 repetition.  The timer can be activated by a PLC or by an operator with the included foot switch.        
The Hernon UV Wand Curing System is designed
        to operate with Hernon ultraviolet cure adhesives such as Hernon
        Ultrabond™, Poly-Cure™, and Ultraviolet Curable Coating™
        (UCC™), which cure when exposed to 365 nm wavelength light.

Lamp Intensity
The initial output of the lamp is 5000 mw, and degrades to 40% of initial output after approximately 1000 hours. This chracteristic is typical of all arc lamps. Hernon UV Cure products require less than 1000 mw of power; therefore, the 2000 mw of power towards the end of the lamp life is more than twice as adequate to provide a perper cure.
 
          
        


        Caution

        Conveyor-Cure Irradiators emit ultraviolet radiation, which is
        harmful to eyes and skin. Great care should be taken to insure
        that personnel area not exposed to direct or reflected radiation.
        Suitable eye and skin protection, such Hernon's Safety Glasses
        and Hernon's Safety Goggles should be worn when lamp I in operation.
        Before cleaning and relamping, always turn the power OFF.
